At Odyssey Behavioral Healthcare, outcomes are more than numbers — they’re reflections of lives changed. By combining evidence-based practices with years of longitudinal data, we continue to elevate the standard of care across our eating disorder and mental health network of treatment programs. Our commitment to measurable progress ensures every individual receives compassionate, data-informed treatment that leads to meaningful healing.
The latest research shows that society’s increasing dependence on screens, coupled with the ongoing pressure of social media and other social stressors, has contributed to declining mental health and well-being and rising rates of suicide in the US. Among the 61.5 million American adults with a mental health condition in the past year, 21.2 million also had a substance use disorder. This is even more dangerous because our country faces an illicit drug supply that is more toxic and unpredictable than ever.
61.5 million Americans were affected by a mental health condition, with 14.6 million experiencing a serious mental health disorder.
14.3 million US adults had serious thoughts of suicide.
Nearly 50 million Americans met the diagnostic criteria for a substance use disorder.
Only 1 in 5 who needed addiction treatment received it.
Odyssey Behavioral Healthcare partners with Harvard and McLean Hospital to collect and analyze our treatment outcomes using the 24-item Behavior and Symptom Identification Scale (BASIS-24).
Additionally, Odyssey’s eating disorder programs leverage the 26 item Eating Attitudes Test (EAT-26) and Lifeskills Behavioral Health includes several additional assessments including the Difficulties in Emotional Regulation Scale (DERS), Brief Psychiatric Rating Scale (BPRS), Drug Attitude Inventory (DAI), and the Short Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Rating Interview (SPRINT) to better understand impact and guide program development.
Our clinical outcomes are carefully measured to ensure the effectiveness of our programs, providing confidence in their ability to support lasting recovery.
By tracking progress and evaluating results, we continuously improve our services, empowering individuals on their journey to better health and long-term well-being.
