Odyssey Behavioral Healthcare holds its facilities to standards that go beyond regulatory requirements. The Joint Commission or CARF International accredits every treatment center in the organization, and individual brands maintain additional certifications and professional affiliations that reflect their clinical specialties.
These credentials are not honorary. They require independent evaluation, ongoing compliance, and regular on-site review. For clients, families, and referring professionals, they represent a verifiable commitment to clinical safety and treatment quality across every facility in the organization.
The Joint Commission
Odyssey facilities hold The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval, the nation’s oldest and most widely recognized healthcare accreditation. The Joint Commission evaluates more than 22,000 programs against over 1,300 performance benchmarks covering safety, effectiveness, and quality of care. Accredited facilities undergo regular on-site surveys conducted by trained reviewers. Odyssey’s participation is voluntary and reflects an organizational standard, not a regulatory requirement.
CARF® International
Odyssey facilities hold CARF International accreditation, an internationally recognized credential for organizations that meet rigorous standards in clinical care, client safety, and ethical practice. CARF accreditation involves on-site evaluations, documentation review, and ongoing assessments of clinical outcomes, client satisfaction, staff qualifications, and operational practices.
PsychArmor
PsychArmor certification designates Odyssey as a veteran-ready healthcare organization. This credential requires specialized training in military culture, veteran-specific behavioral health challenges, and the clinical considerations unique to serving veterans and first responders.
Legitscript
LegitScript certification is awarded to substance use treatment providers that pass a rigorous vetting and application process. Facilities that treat primary substance use disorders within the Odyssey organization hold this certification, which is required to advertise treatment services on Google, Meta, and Bing.
International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals
IAEDP offers education, training, and certification for eating disorder treatment professionals. Odyssey’s eating disorder treatment brands maintain active IAEDP involvement to support ongoing clinical development and adherence to specialized treatment standards.
National Eating Disorders Association
