FRANKLIN, Tenn. (February 16, 2026) — Odyssey Behavioral Healthcare announces the appointment of Joe Cramer, MBA, as Chief Operating Officer. Cramer joins the organization as it marks its 10-year anniversary — a milestone year focused on expanding access to high-quality, evidence-based behavioral healthcare nationwide.
Cramer brings more than two decades of leadership experience in multi-site, investor-backed healthcare organizations, with a strong track record of operational transformation, scalable growth, and performance optimization. As COO, he will oversee enterprise-wide operations, clinical infrastructure alignment, and strategic growth initiatives designed to strengthen outcomes and enhance the patient experience across Odyssey’s national platform.
“We are excited to welcome Joe to our executive team during this important chapter in our company’s history,” said Richard Clark, CEO of Odyssey Behavioral Healthcare. “His experience leading complex healthcare organizations and driving measurable operational excellence will be instrumental as we expand our reach while remaining deeply committed to clinical quality and compassionate care.”
Prior to joining Odyssey, Cramer served as president at Elara Caring, one of the largest home health providers in the United States. There, he oversaw multiple service lines, including Hospice, Behavioral Health, Business Intelligence, and Sales. He led the successful turnaround and strategic expansion of the organization’s behavioral health division, developing new service offerings and scaling operations across 18 states.
“At Odyssey, we have a unique opportunity to strengthen operational excellence while preserving the mission-driven culture that defines this organization,” said Cramer. “I look forward to working alongside our clinical and operational leaders to ensure we deliver sustainable, measurable results that directly support patient outcomes and long-term recovery.”
Cramer holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Indiana University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Baltimore.
