Doing the Right Thing

Millions of Americans struggle with mental health conditions, eating disorders, and addiction, but treatment options remain limited coast to coast.

Scott Kardenetz pledged to change that by founding Odyssey Behavioral Healthcare — bridging the treatment gap to reduce relapse into acute settings and supporting long-term recovery.

He called it doing the right thing — and so do we.

Transforming Behavioral Health Care

When Odyssey’s founder, Scott Kardenetz, was young, his grandmother was institutionalized in a state hospital. That experience shaped his belief that individuals with mental health conditions deserve compassionate care and better resources.

This conviction led to the founding of Odyssey Behavioral Healthcare in 2015, bridging the critical gap between acute hospitalization and general outpatient treatment. These essential levels of care support those with mental health conditions, eating disorders, and addictions.

Much like physical therapy aids in surgical recovery, Odyssey’s comprehensive care programs help individuals reintegrate into their lives through a structured and supportive treatment process. Each level of care is tailored to promote healing and maximize long-term recovery potential.

Our commitment to doing the right thing remains steadfast as we expand, providing high-quality, accessible treatment options nationwide to as many individuals as possible.

“Scott’s vision and leadership created a thriving organization passionate about helping those in need — continually supporting more individuals and families nationwide each year.”
