Odyssey Behavioral Healthcare Celebrates 10 Years of Recovery, Growth, + Hope
Odyssey Behavioral Healthcare is celebrating 10 years of service, marking a decade of evidence-based behavioral health care.
Since its founding in 2015, Odyssey has grown into a nationwide network of specialized mental health, eating disorder, and substance use treatment programs. United by a common mission, Odyssey provides individualized care that supports long-term recovery at every stage.
The name “Odyssey,” meaning a long and meaningful journey, reflects the organization’s purpose and the countless recovery paths it has helped guide over the past decade.
Odyssey Behavioral Healthcare was created to bridge the critical gap between acute psychiatric hospitalization and individual counseling in an outpatient setting. Today, its comprehensive continuum of subacute care offers structured, supportive treatment.
The company’s origins are rooted in a belief shaped by founder Scott Kardenetz’s early experiences, including witnessing his grandmother’s institutionalization in a state hospital. That moment inspired his conviction that people with mental health conditions deserve better resources, more humane care, and real opportunities for long-term recovery.
“Scott’s vision and leadership created a thriving organization dedicated to helping those in need,” said Richard Clark, CEO of Odyssey Behavioral Healthcare. “We’re deeply grateful to our incredible teams, trusted partners, and the clients and families who’ve placed their trust in us. Your courage and commitment inspire everything we do.”
As Odyssey marks this milestone, its commitment to doing the right thing remains unwavering. The company remains focused on data-driven insights and clinical outcomes as it expands programs nationwide, broadening access so more individuals can receive exceptional mental health care.
Today, Odyssey’s treatment reach includes:
- Mental health and substance use treatment programs, including Clearview Treatment Programs, Lifeskills Behavioral Health, Pasadena Villa, and STR Behavioral Health
- Eating disorder treatment programs, including Aster Springs, Magnolia Creek, and Selah House
- Outpatient treatment, including intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization programs for mental health conditions, substance use, eating disorders, and co-occurring conditions
Even as it celebrates, Odyssey is already writing its next chapter, one of continued growth, innovation, and hope.
