Lifeskills South Florida Expands Mental Health + Substance Use Treatment Services to Orlando, Florida

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. (June 6, 2024) — Odyssey Behavioral Healthcare, a leading provider of mental health, substance use, and eating disorder treatment, today announced Lifeskills South Florida’s expansion of mental health and substance use treatment services into Central Florida. The Orlando location will provide residential and outpatient services specializing in the treatment of adults with complex mental health conditions and substance use disorders. Transitional living homes will provide added stability and support for clients in outpatient programming as part of a full continuum of care.

According to recent data from the National Alliance on Mental Illness and the Kaiser Family Foundation:

• More than 15% of Florida adults have a mental health condition, and 32% reported symptoms of anxiety or depressive disorder.
• In Florida, 648,000 adults have a serious mental health condition.
• Florida outpaces the national average in drug overdose deaths.

The Orlando facility was previously part of the Pasadena Villa Psychiatric Treatment Network. As part of this strategic realignment, Pasadena Villa will continue to provide residential mental health treatment for adults at its Tennessee locations and expand into new markets later this year.
